Rewind 89.3’s 10th Annual Radiothon in support of Make-A-Wish Canada takes place Friday, June 5, 2026, live on-air and online from 6 AM to 4 PM.
What began as a way to honour Cole Wittenberg has grown into a powerful community tradition, led by a dedicated volunteer board made up of Cole’s family and the friends and supporters they’ve gathered along the way. Together, they work year-round to organize this event with one shared goal: helping create life-changing memories for children and families facing critical illness.
From heartfelt stories and special guests to community fundraising and our annual online auction, every part of the Radiothon is built around making more wishes possible. The auction features incredible items donated by local businesses and supporters, with every bid helping bring joy, hope, and unforgettable experiences to wish families.
The day also includes our Kids’ Corner — a fun-filled community celebration with family activities, food, and entertainment — reminding us that creating joyful memories matters, both for the families we serve and the community that comes together to support them.
Every dollar raised stays right here in Nova Scotia to help grant wishes for local children when they need hope most.
Cole’s Story
Each year, Rewind 89.3 holds its annual Radiothon in support of Make-A-Wish Canada in honour of Cole Wittenberg. Cole was just four and a half years old when he became part of the Rewind family and the inspiration behind this event. He was set to be the honorary co-host of our very first Radiothon, but sadly passed away shortly before it took place. Cole had a larger-than-life spirit and brought joy to everyone he met. A Make-A-Wish child, he was granted his wish to visit Disney World — creating special memories with his family. He was also the biggest Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles fan, especially Raphael, and truly embodied the courage, strength, and heart of his favourite heroes. We were lucky to know Cole, to welcome him into our studio, and to share in his joy. His story continues to inspire this Radiothon and reminds us why making wishes come true matters so much.
